Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa / Diani – Tsavo West National Park

Pick up from your hotel at around 5:00 AM and drive along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway with a short stop for refreshments.
Proceed to Tsavo West National Park, arriving mid-morning and starting a game drive en route to your lodge.
Check in at around 1:00 PM for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon at 4:00 PM, enjoy a game drive to the Rhino Sanctuary, where you may spot the endangered black rhino.

  • Chaimu Lava Flow
  • Mzima Springs
  • Shetani Lava Flow
  • Chyulu Hills

Return to the lodge at around 6:30 PM for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tsavo West – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast at around 6:00 AM, enjoy a game drive en route to Mzima Springs, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and crystal-clear water fed from Mount Kilimanjaro.
Exit Tsavo West via Chyulu Gate, stopping at Shetani Lava Flow for photos, then proceed to Amboseli National Park via Kimana Gate.
Arrive at your lodge (e.g., Amboseli Serena Lodge) in time for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive until 6:00 PM, with chances to see:

  • Elephants
  • Giraffes
  • Cheetahs
  • Zebras
  • Hyenas
  • Buffaloes

Amboseli is also famous for its swamps, open plains, and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast and a short morning game drive, depart for Tsavo East National Park, entering through Bachuma Gate.
Begin your game drive toward Aruba Dam, a major watering point where wildlife gathers.

You will also explore key attractions such as:

  • Yatta Plateau
  • Lugard Falls
  • Tsavo River
  • Mdanda Rock
  • Voi seasonal river

Wildlife includes red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and occasionally predators like leopards and cheetahs.

Arrive at your lodge at around 1:30 PM for lunch and relaxation. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive until evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Tsavo East – Mombasa / Diani

Start your day early at 5:30 AM with tea or coffee, followed by a morning game drive, ideal for spotting predators.
Return to the lodge for breakfast at around 8:30 AM, then enjoy a final short game drive.
After lunch, depart for Mombasa or Diani, arriving in the afternoon.
