The 2 Days Tsavo East & Salt Lick Safari combines the vast wilderness of Tsavo East National Park with the unique experience of staying at the famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.
This short safari offers diverse landscapes, rich wildlife viewing, and a memorable overnight stay overlooking a waterhole where animals gather.
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up at 6:00 AM from your hotel in Diani Beach or Mombasa. You will drive along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway toward Tsavo East National Park, entering through Bachuma Gate.
Enjoy a morning game drive as you explore the park, with opportunities to spot wildlife such as red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.
You will proceed to Voi Wildlife Lodge, arriving in time for lunch while enjoying panoramic views of the Tsavo plains.
After lunch, depart for Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will check in at the famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge, known for its unique structure overlooking a waterhole.
In the afternoon, embark on a game drive within the sanctuary, returning in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
After breakfast, enjoy a mid-morning game drive in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, offering excellent chances to see animals up close as they gather around water sources.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then begin your journey back to Mombasa or Diani, arriving in the afternoon and dropped off at your beach hotel.
